Korean miso hot dogs
This delicious and easy Korean hot dog is made with rich miso mayonnaise and fresh pickled vegetables.


Preparation time 30 min | Oven temperature 180 °C | 8 pieces
Ingredients
8 pcs (2 bags) hot dog buns
8 frankfurters
Quick-pickled vegetables
2 large carrots
½ cucumber
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 tsp sugar
Miso mayonnaise
1½ dl mayonnaise
1½ tbsp miso paste
Other ingredients
2 spring onion stems, finely chopped
Instructions
Prepare the quick-pickled vegetables. Wash and peel the carrot. Rinse the cucumber. Grate the vegetables. Squeeze the excess liquid from the cucumber. Mix the vinegar and sugar in a bowl. Mix the vegetables into the vinegar-sugar mixture. Place in the fridge and allow to soak.
Mix the mayonnaise and miso. Allow to soak.
Place the frankfurters on baking paper on a tray and cook in an oven at 180 °C for 10 minutes. Add the buns and cook for another 2 minutes.
Spread the miso mayonnaise on the bottom of a hot dog bun, add a fr
ankfurter, and top with the pickled vegetables and spring onions.
Tip! Try the fun spiral frankfurters: Push a skewer as straight as possible lengthwise through the middle of the frankfurter. Cut the surface of the frankfurter with a knife in approximately 2½ cm increments while rotating it away from you. Carefully remove the stick and cook the frankfurter.
