Tender pork stew in the oven
A pork stew is easy to bake in the oven until tender. The secret to the delicious taste of the sauce lies in dark beer.

Ingredients
1 pkg (1 kg) of pork kassler
3 onions
3 cloves of garlic
3 carrots
2 tbsp rapeseed oil
4 tbsp wheat flour
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 portion gravy base
½ dl boiling water
5 dl strong dark beer
2 bay leaves
2 tsp thyme
1 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed black pepper
Dice the meat. Peel and slice the onions. Wash, peel and slice the carrots.
Brown the surfaces of the meat in oil in a hot pan in a few batches and put it in a pot (capacity 3 litres).
Add oil to the pan if necessary. Sauté the onions in the pan for about 10 minutes. Add the garlic to the pan near the end of frying.
Add the onions and carrots to the pot. Mix the flour, mustard and sugar in with the ingredients in the pot. Dissolve the gravy base in boiling water. Add the gravy, beer and spices to the pot.
Stew in the oven at 175 °C for about 2 hours.
Tip: Serve the stew with mashed potatoes or root vegetables.
